What parents are saying...

I cannot say enough good things about the new directors, Ginger and Steve Clare - they are perfect for Kippewa, bringing it into the 20th century without sacrificing its ideals and charm. From their cheerful enthusiasm regarding camp to their energy regarding activities, they engaged the campers, counselors and staff for an overall great summer.

[Ginger and Steve] are Fabulous! I felt as if they truly cared about the girls there. They were a breath of fresh air! They had their "finger on the pulse" of the camp.

I really liked both Ginger and Steve and thought they were fantastic. Communication and responsiveness was great as was compassion and concern.

Having attended a girl's camp myself, I found it extremely empowering to have all female role models. It was the first time in my life that I had ever seen women completely running the show, and it had a profound influence on me!

She hasn't stopped talking about camp and the nice kids that she met. [My daughter] also raved about the top-notch water skiing instruction she received and I'm thinking of a way to keep up that skill for the rest of the summer. She enjoyed the horse back riding too but not cleaning out the stalls so much. [She] was also very excited to show us a new move she learned in gymnastics... from her coach and counselor.

[My daughter]has been a busy ninth grader, but not many days go by without her referencing a Kippewa friend, counselor or experience in the course of our daily conversations.

Kippewa is an experience not to be missed - how fortunate we were to meet and experience the Kippewa people and camp.

Every child would be priveleged to attend a camp like Kippewa, especially with all the new changes this year.

Thank you and Steve so much for giving [my daughter] such a wonderful experience. She spent the whole ride home weaving back and forth between great stories, tears, and cat naps! She will definitely be back again next summer. We're so proud of her and so glad we found Kippewa!

It was obvious that [my daughter] had been working hard on her strokes at camp. Thanks for the improvements in the swim program! She had a really great summer, and is looking forward to next year!

She told me that everyone at camp was her family. If she told me once, she told me at least twenty times that it was the best summer of her life. She's always been a happy child, but I've never seen her like this -- just bubbling over. You did a fabulous job. She's already talking about when she's an OC.

What Campers are saying...

[Ginger and Steve] were amazingly awesome and nice, and Aiden was a sweetie!

I would [come back] because I loved everybody there and it was the best experience I have ever had and I told my friends about it now they want to come too.

[Ginger and Steve] were very fun, and seemed to want to interact with everyone. They had the campers' interests at heart.

It was the best summer of my life.
