- What if I want to bring my furry friends with me to camp?
Sorry, all pets need to stay at home - but you can write them a letter and let them
know about the great time you are having. We can provide local boarding options
upon request.
- What will my bunk look like?
Our bunks have screened in porches, wooden beds, and decorative fireplaces. These
cozy cabins are all set with electricity, toilets, sinks, and showers. You can either stay
with your own family or choose to share a cabin with another family.
- Do I need to bring my own sheets and towels?
No need to bring your own, we supply all linens.
- Are there opportunities for myself and my family to leave camp?
Yes we will be offering half-day and full day hikes for those that are interested, and
will be providing transportation to these beautiful natural adventures. We are also
a short driving distance from many of Maine's tourist attractions, including the outlet
shopping Mecca of Maine, Freeport – Home of the original LLBean store (and many
others).
- Is there a place for me to check my emails or make a phone call if I
need to?
Yes, Kippewa has a designated "business area" for those who need it, with specified
business hours. High-speed internet hook-ups are available for your laptop
computers and access to printer, fax and phone is available if needed. Just a
reminder, though – Family Camp is meant to be a vacation! We recommend leaving
your Blackberrys at home.
